Senior Architect

to join our dynamic team in our

Orlando

office. Performs advanced assignments demonstrating complex professional architectural work knowledge and abilities, applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in a sequence of related architectural tasks. Assignments require sound independent judgment under the supervision of the Director and may include non-routine, complex work; applies intensive and diversified knowledge of architectural principles and practices. Makes decisions independently on architectural problems and methods; represents the company by resolving important questions and coordinating the work. Uses advanced techniques and extends theories, precepts, and practices of architecture. Coordinates with and resolves conflicts with other disciplines based on an excellent understanding of the design process. Responsible for preparation of project-specific construction specifications and construction administration. May include managerial tasks of both project and personnel. Demonstrates proven experience in Project Programming and Design; manages multiple projects simultaneously. Prepares reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates, and permits. Has working knowledge of CAD to produce designs and routine final drawings; performs limited Revit and AutoCAD operations. Advances understanding of codes and standards, researches code issues, and applies interpretations in daily work. Performs Life Safety and Code Analysis and prepares related documents. Visits construction sites to review progress, perform construction administration duties, review RFIs, prepare ASIs and PRs, and report status per the contract. Uses company and discipline software to prepare architectural and design documents; proficient in Windows-based tools and BIM platforms. Provides supervision, coordination, and mentoring of other staff members; may serve as project manager or project architect on assigned projects and sign/seal documents as AOR when prepared to do so. Assists in marketing, presentations, and client communication for specific projects; participates in professional organizations as an active member. Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in architecture from an accredited four-year college or university Ten years of experience as an architect Must have passed the exam and be certified as a Professional Registered Architect Technically competent to sign and seal construction documents Experience in managing midsize to large projects Certificate, Licences, Registrations

Possess a Certificate of Licensed Registered Architect. Physical Requirements
