Overview The Epic Application Analyst Level 3 will be responsible for implementation, maintenance, and support of clinical applications used within the healthcare organization. This role will work closely with clinical end-users, IT staff, and vendors to ensure the clinical applications are optimized for usability and efficiency and meet the needs of clinicians and patients. This role is part of the Revenue Cycle team, supporting INTEGRIS Health caregivers and the community at large.
Responsibilities
Facilitate the team of clinical application analysts in the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of clinical applications, including electronic health records (EHR), clinical decision support systems, and other clinical software.
Collaborate with clinical end-users, IT staff, and vendors to identify opportunities for improving clinical workflows and processes using technology.
Lead system testing and validation to ensure the clinical applications meet regulatory requirements and user needs.
Monitor and troubleshoot issues with clinical applications, and provide timely resolution to minimize impact on patient care and clinician productivity.
Maintain awareness of upcoming developments, offerings, and solutions in the EHR system or other clinical applications.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures, ensuring documentation is accessible to support staff and end-users.
Work collaboratively with operational and medical staff leaders to implement and align strategic initiatives.
Participate in all phases of the system development life cycle, including development of use cases and evaluation of software solutions.
Lead and facilitate the facility’s core clinical and business systems team on IT activities.
Prioritize based on understanding strategies, budget, Epic, requirements, goals, and the value that projects and tasks provide to the business.
Provide mentorship to other team members and support project management for small to medium initiatives.
Mentor other team members in collaboration with clinical and business end users.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience, or Associate’s with 5 years of experience, or 7 years of healthcare or IT experience.
Basic understanding of healthcare workflows and terminology.
Epic Certification is required (e.g., EpicCare Ambulatory, EpicCare Inpatient, Radiant, Cupid, Optime, Anesthesia, Grand Central or other relevant Epic Apps).
Occasional travel may be required.
Experience communicating with a variety of audiences through verbal and written modalities.
Knowledge of clinical workflows and processes, and experience in implementing and supporting clinical software applications.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate technical information to clinical staff and other stakeholders.
Experience in project management and change management in a healthcare setting preferred.
Working knowledge of IT solutions and interfacing preferred.
