Crew software engineering associates use a variety of technologies in Agile and lean startup methodologies to automate manual processes, create microsites, learn new technologies, and everything in between. Responsibilities

Design, document, code, and conduct unit tests and debugging of software solutions and components Apply enterprise standards, application patterns, and development best practices in solutions development/delivery Work with direction and guidance at designing and implementing timely, quality solutions Ability to innovate within project scope Own and ensure maintenance of technical solution diagrams and models; present solution alternatives as needed to operational leaders within IT and assigned business units Decompose complex problems into manageable work items for delivery of others Provide technical guidance and solutions regarding coding and design Resource on topics within scope of current role and knowledge base for development team members (FTE and vendors) Assess and recommend IT capability improvements for applications, including implementing, logging, and monitoring at appropriate levels and driving upgrades to currently supported software Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI) Assessment and communication of status of development activities based on summaries from System Analysts, Developers, and other solution participants Support the maintenance and progression of development standards and currency of solution frameworks Communicate the scope of work during development projects Present quarterly findings to leadership and stakeholders Provide inputs in establishment of development standards and process In partnership with technical experts, evaluate new solutions/tools/methodologies and provide feedback Participate in the conceptual design development, ensuring that the solution is viable and designed appropriately to solve the business case Provide support for the facilitation and review of estimates, development, and deployment plans for all capabilities participating in the release in both Agile/Scrum Assist more Senior Developers in providing/coordinating estimates for the development components required for the solution and overseeing design efforts across capabilities/systems Provide support to Project Managers to ensure design/build activities remain within project schedule/budget Facilitate escalation and resolution of technical issues during the development of the solutions Support vendor work, delivery review, and acceptance Work effectively between multiple projects Qualifications

1-2 years of experience in some of the following technologies and practices Platforms: Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Excel, Internet Information Server (IIS), AWS EC2, AWS S3, AWS SMS, AWS SQS, AWS State Machine, AWS CloudWatch, AWS DynamoDb, AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway, Node.js, Azure DevOps, and Azure virtual machines Languages and Frameworks: C#, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, Python 3+, SQL, TypeScript, WSDL, XML, .NET, .NET Framework, AJAX, Angular, Angular.js, ASP.NET MVC, Bootstrap, and Vue.JS Techniques: Debugging, SOAP, and web service development Tools: MS Test, NUnit, NuGet, NPM, git, and Subversion (SVN) Education: Four-year degree required in Software Engineering, Information Systems, or similar discipline Other: A background in large financial services or insurance companies and formal certifications like AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified AI Practitioner, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, and AWS Certified Developer Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this role is $50,000 to $85,000 or the hourly equivalent.
