Overview
Professor of Law (Open Rank) - Civil Litigation Law at Emory University. This is a tenure-track position in disciplines related to civil litigation, including civil procedure, complex litigation, evidence, conflict of laws, and related areas. The rank is open to assistant, associate, or full professor for candidates who meet the school’s standards for scholarly excellence. Responsibilities
Engage in high-quality teaching, with the potential to teach first-year Civil Procedure. Develop and maintain an active research agenda in civil litigation-related fields. Contribute to the academic community through scholarly publications and service to the law school. Demonstrate ability to secure and manage research funding and collaborate with colleagues across the law school. Qualifications
J.D., Ph.D., or equivalent degree. At least two years of experience in a tenure-track position. A distinguished academic record with a strong track record and/or outstanding promise in research related to civil litigation. Candidates should have the demonstrated ability to teach civil litigation courses; interest in teaching first-year Civil Procedure is a positive factor. Application Process
