Job Details
Purpose: Design, develop, test, integrate and document modern TCP/IP Linux network systems in the Advanced Technology Laboratory (ATL). Responsibilities
Design and develop TCP/IP Linux network systems including network, computing, storage and graphics equipment. Design and configure Linux network systems equipment for high performance and security. Test, troubleshoot, integrate and profile Linux network systems to meet system requirements. Document and configuration manage Linux network systems equipment. Provide local and remote technical support of Linux network system design and implementation. Other related functions as assigned. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other related discipline. Demonstrated knowledge designing, configuring, troubleshooting, testing, validating and documenting TCP/IP model networks. Knowledge and experience with network stack and principles, addressing, link-layer protocols, routing protocols, transport protocols and network services. Experience with Linux and network security fundamentals. Experience with network monitoring, profiling and load balancing. US Citizen. Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with focus on networked systems. Two or more years of professional experience as a Electrical Engineer or Computer Scientist. Knowledge and experience with network architecture variations, link aggregation, ECMP, BGP, VLANS and DNS. Experience with Network Operating System (NOS) and network security devices and configurations. Network certification. Eligibility for immediate access to classified information. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 and above. Salary Range: $88,500-$120,000+/negotiable depending on qualifications.
