RF/Wireless Network Engineering Scientist Associate – Applied Research Laboratories, University of Texas at Austin. Location: Pickle Research Campus. Weekly hours: 40. FLSA: Exempt. Earliest start: Immediately. Position duration: Expected to Continue. All Applicants are encouraged to apply. Job Details: The Signal and Information Sciences Lab (SISL) seeks a motivated individual to support research and development tasks related to software development and data analytics for RF networks. Responsibilities

Writing flexible and maintainable software code according to software best practices. Designing software applications and algorithms to support RF network projects and applications. Deploying and supporting software delivered outside of ARL:UT. Documenting new and legacy software code for internal review and external deliveries. Other related functions as assigned. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related discipline. Experience in at least one of the following: RF networks, RF network data, network simulators, wireless networks. Experience using Python for algorithm development, data science, and/or machine learning. Experience using C++ to develop and run software applications. Experience using JavaScript for front-end web development. Familiar with the software development lifecycle process to design, develop, and maintain software. Knowledgeable using tools to perform testing, version control, and documentation of code. Experience using containerized applications in deployed environments. Experience developing on Linux and Windows operating systems. Demonstrated ability to work effectively, both independently and collaboratively, with a strong commitment to contribution and enabling the entire team. Applicants must have a dynamic skill set, be highly organized, and capable of planning and coordinating multiple tasks with good time management. The position requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with sensitive and confidential information while maintaining a professional demeanor. Ability to work under pressure and accept supervision. Regular and punctual attendance. US Citizen. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information at the project level. Preferred Qualifications

Three years related experience. Experience in multiple areas: RF networks, RF network data, network simulators, wireless networks. Experience with Docker or another containerized application development platform. Demonstrated ability to implement and test machine learning based techniques in relevant domains. Demonstrated ability to work with subject matter experts when developing analytics. Prior work experience in professional or research-oriented software development. Cumulative GPA of 3.0. Salary Range: $88,500 - $120,000+ negotiable depending on qualifications.
