Here's how a Safety Coordinator for our Civil Infrastructure/Rail office contributes to our team: Responsibilities Assist with monitoring the implementation of the project/region HSE Plan, environmental plan, regulatory requirements, and other safe work practices. Identify and assist in conducting project-specific HSE training. Assist with providing teams with specific HSE information and trends, and help create action plans. Assist with the development and implementation of hazard identification tools. Support project teams with the implementation of the emergency response plan and monitor project security requirements. Verify that equipment and tool inspections are being conducted and documented as per requirements. Assist in notifying appropriate stakeholders of any incident and support investigations. Coordinate and track training to ensure compliance. Develop and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders and clients. Support project-specific or client requests. Qualifications Working toward a bachelor’s degree or certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. Working toward a safety designation. At least 1 year of experience in a related industry. Ability to learn applicable environmental legislation and HSE processes. Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Ability to identify and resolve conflicts with craft workers. Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to learn construction processes and terminology. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and adaptability to new technology. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and laptop. Ability to lift 25 pounds.
