Assistant Professor of Exercise Science , with an anticipated start date of August 2026. This is a full-time, 9-month, benefit-eligible position with a salary of

$60,000–$62,000

per academic year, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate courses in the Exercise Science program within the Department of Health and Human Performance. Potential courses include Biomechanical Kinesiology, Anatomical Kinesiology, Fitness Testing and Prescription, Exercise Technique & Performance, Human Nutrition, Strength and Conditioning, Physiology of Exercise, Advanced Physiology of Exercise, Injury Prevention and Treatment, and Exercise Science Research Methods. Engage in evidence-informed pedagogy to teach undergraduate students in classroom and laboratory settings. Develop and maintain a record of research or a willingness to develop in the area of Exercise Science. Provide academic advising to undergraduate students within the Health and Human Performance Department. Collaborate with colleagues across the university to complete tasks and achieve department goals. Qualifications

PhD, EdD, or other terminal degree in Exercise Science, Biomechanics, Kinesiology, or related field. An ABD will be considered if completed by the anticipated start date. At least two semesters of undergraduate teaching experience during or after graduate school, or at least two semesters as a graduate teaching assistant for a lab. A strong commitment to undergraduate education and a willingness to collaborate with both students and faculty. Excellent oral and written communication skills. CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) certification or willingness to obtain. Additional information
