Serving as the Epilepsy Section Director /Section Chief for the Epilepsy Section in the Department of Neurology includes the ability to make executive, administrative, and operational decisions for the Epilepsy Section Interacting extensively with the Department Chair and Senior Leadership at UCHealth to assess needs for section and plan activities that relate to future growth Serving as a mentor to all epilepsy faculty, with an emphasis on our junior faculty and acts as a positive role model and leader within the section and department Developing and executing strategies and processes that will drive the strategic plan and vision of the section and ensure the goals, standards, and objectives are in alignment with the strategic plan Recruiting and growing the epilepsy section in Metro Denver and throughout the Rocky Mountain region Work Location

Minimum Qualifications

Associate Professor MD Applicants must be Board Certified in Neurology A State of Colorado medical license and DEA license must be obtained on or before hire date Applicants must have completed fellowship training in Epilepsy or neurophysiology Applicants must have a scholarly and academic record consistent with appointment at the Associate Professor level in the School of Medicine Professor MD Applicants must be Board Certified in Neurology A State of Colorado medical license and DEA license must be obtained on or before hire date Applicants must have completed fellowship training in Epilepsy or neurophysiology Applicants must have a scholarly and academic record consistent with appointment at the Professor level in the School of Medicine Preferred Qualifications

A record of previous or current research activity and funding is highly desirable Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills A positive, motivated, engaged, and caring attitude Outstanding clinical skills in Neurology and Epilepsy Ability to work with colleagues and patients in a professional manner Dedication to professional development, teaching and education, and to mentoring others Ability to be adaptable, flexible, and creative Writing skills as exemplified in scholarly work and grant applications How to Apply
