Vocal Performance Instructor

The MusicianShip The vocal instructor will lead fun, age-appropriate activities such as solo and group singing, call and response, vocal techniques, and music exploration. Students will build musical confidence and contribute to vocal performances throughout the school year, such as TMS and site specific events, in addition to our End-of-Year Showcase. Responsibilities
Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that focus on vocal technique, stage presence, and expressive performance Teach students proper breathing, diction, pitch, tone, and vocal health practices to support safe, sustainable singing Lead students in warm-ups, exercises, and repertoire study that strengthen vocal ability and artistic expression. Guide students in building confidence and stage presence, preparing them for live performances and showcases Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages collaboration, peer learning, and artistic risk-taking Help students explore a diverse range of musical styles and genres, expanding their vocal versatility and appreciation Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to support both personal growth and artistic development Encourage students to connect their vocal work to self-expression and storytelling, reinforcing the emotional and communicative power of music Qualifications
Background in vocal/general music education Ability to engage young learners through music Comfortable with both structured and creative instruction Proficiency in Google Workplace Lesson Planning Classroom & Behavior Management Compensation & Benefits

This position reports to the Department of Education and Community Programs - Manager and Associate Manager
