Planet Pharma . Job Description Target Pay Rate: 35-45.67/hr
salary will be commensurate with experience Description Purpose The Formulation Development Assistant Scientist performs the design and development of solid/liquid/semisolid & novel drug delivery dosage forms for the Consumer Health categories under supervision. Conducts hands-on laboratory work according to agreed upon timeline and at a high level of quality. Supports multiple projects and is responsible for prioritizing activities to effectively and efficiently deliver on commitments. Plays an active role in contributing to innovation by actively turning ideas/concepts into prototypes, evaluating external new technologies and drug delivery, and presenting new product ideas to commercial teams. Key Tasks Under supervision, performs execution of formulation development activities by: Performing hands-on experiments in the laboratory such as prototyping, material characterization, accelerated stability studies, Design of Experiments, initial process design, and drafting reports. Supports formulation development strategy and solves technical problems using scientific knowledge and creative thinking. Tests potential formulations and reviews data with cross-functional teams. Supports laboratory activities and equipment maintenance. Participates in innovation activities by making prototypes, suggesting new product ideas, and searching for external technologies. Contributes to innovation by leading ideations based on category strategy or consumer insights, and presenting ideas and prototypes to teams. Develops and tests compositions for new products, focusing on stability and process robustness. Skills & Qualifications Required: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or Science. Preferred: Master's degree with experience in formulation or manufacturing process development. Hands-on laboratory experience, passion for innovation, research, and continuous learning. Strong communication skills, experience with DOE & data analysis, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and modeling software.
