Associate Professor (Open Rank), Department of Anatomical Sciences and Neurobiology
The Department of Anatomical Sciences & Neurobiology (ASNB) in the School of Medicine at the University of Louisville invites applications for full-time, term or tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. We are seeking outstanding investigators conducting basic or translational research focused on neurobiological processes and/or therapeutic approaches aimed at improving symptoms or altering the course of disease. Candidates with research programs centered on aging, neurodegenerative diseases and movement disorders are especially encouraged to apply. Additionally, the department has a strong preference for individuals utilizing innovative, cutting-edge technologies to address these research areas. Applicants for the Associate Professor level must have established extramural funding, while candidates for the Assistant Professor level should demonstrate a clear plan for developing and sustaining an innovative, externally funded research program. The University of Louisville offers state-of-the-art institutional resources, including core facilities for proteomics, next-generation sequencing, metabolomics, animal behavior analysis and advanced imaging technologies. Applicants must hold an M.D., Ph.D., or both. We seek creative, enthusiastic and highly motivated candidates who will contribute to a culture of collaboration, innovation and inclusion.
