This posting is for a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor position in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) within the College of Engineering. The position may start as early as August 15, 2026, and visa sponsorship may be available. Position Overview
The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor or associate professor (before tenure) appointment in power electronics, AI and data-driven controls for power systems, and other areas within ECE that complement the current portfolio. The final offer will be based on qualifications and experience. The department encourages applicants eligible for promotion to associate professor to apply. The position is open to applicants who may require sponsorship for a visa or other work authorization. Performance Objectives
High-quality, high-impact research in power electronics, AI and data-driven controls for power systems, and related areas in ECE. Teach undergraduate and graduate courses within ECE. Advise undergraduate and graduate students toward degree completion. Demonstrate professional, ethical, and constructive collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders. Education and Experience Requirements
Required: A Ph.D. in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a closely related field. Evidence of research, teaching, and/or outreach that aligns with Ohio State\'s Shared Values. Evidence of research publications in top journals/conferences in the field. Potential to attract and mentor graduate students. Ability to teach and supervise undergraduates from diverse backgrounds. Conscientious membership in the university/research community. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for work in multi-disciplinary settings. Desired: Commitment to interdisciplinary education and collaborative research. Industrial R&D or postdoctoral research experience. Prior teaching and mentoring experience in academic or professional settings. Experience with collaborative research in academic or professional environments. Additional Information
