The EHS Coordinator will develop, implement and execute the EHS programs for the FUJIFILM New Castle site. The individual will lead and foster a culture where safety, health and environmental are the core values with all employees. The position will administer and maintain the Environmental permitting and compliance, ISO 14001 certification, waste handling, accident investigations, safety training. The position will conduct plant audits to identify hazardous conditions all with supporting a safe work environment for the site. The position will also liaison with Corporate EHS personnel through bi-weekly meetings and compliance audits.

FFIC Inc. has a manufacturing site in New Castle, DE where aqueous dyes, RxD, and inks are made to support the InkJet digital printing market. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Health and Safety:
Carry out the site wide safety and environmental awareness policies to develop positive individual safety performance among all employees. Implement the plant emergency response procedures and drills with the site and individual operating groups to assure appropriate response in the event of an actual emergency. Plan and coordinate the site safety meetings, maintain attendance records and meeting minutes. Lead the investigation process of all accidents and injuries. Prepare first report of injuries, incident analysis coordination with department managers, and OSHA logs to appropriate contacts (OSHA, Travelers, FUJIFILM Corporate EHS, etc.). Approve and train departments for New Chemical approvals arriving on site. Build and deliver required training to new hires and current employees. Maintain compliance with all site safety programs and EHS Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Conduct safety compliance audits and document potential unsafe conditions in the EHS platform. Ensure that relevant documents are kept current to include training records, environmental reports and any other state or federal documents. Work closely with plant management in optimizing opportunities to reduce risks using Ergonomic evaluation, develop Job Safety Analysis, and make recommendations for correction. Manage environmental compliance with all local, State and Federal regulations and insure adherence to FUJIFILM’s EHS standards. EPCRA Compliance reporting for TIER II & TRI. ISO 14001 – Manage the certification with Corporate EHS through compliance and surveillance audits. Assure the site is following the Environmental Policy. Management of site waste process. Coordinate disposal from the approved waste list and arrange disposal with our third party handler. Responsible for inspections and manifest process. Wastewater reporting for the site and New Castle County. Stormwater Management; to include site inspections with State regulators and perform internal inspections. Input the site environmental performance data for Corporate EHS through the Green Global Exchange (GGX). Conduct environmental compliance audits and document findings through the EHS platform. Address all non-routine environmental issues that arise (chemical spills, etc.). Review and continuously improve current EHS practices on the COUS site. To include audit frequency, checklists, procedures, and recommended improvements for departments and the site. EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental/Chemical Engineering, Environmental Management, Occupational Health. Minimum of 5-8 years of related experience in a EHS role within a chemical manufacturing environment. Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations (Stormwater, Wastewater, Air, EPCRA, RCRA, etc.). Thorough knowledge of safety engineering and industrial hygiene practices. Strong computer skills to include MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and EHS platforms. Incumbent must have strong interpersonal skills and teaching skills to promote safety programs, to effectively promote the learning process during training sessions and to interact with outside agencies and community groups.
