Grand Valley State University . The College of Computing at Grand Valley State University is expanding and inviting applications for both tenured and tenure-track positions across all ranks. While all areas of Computer Science or closely related areas are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to candidates with a teaching and/or research background in Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Data Science, Quantum Computing, High Performance Computing, Health and Bioinformatics, and Human Centered Computing/Design to fill multiple positions beginning or before August 2026. We offer competitive salaries and generous start-up packages to support faculty in initiating and sustaining their research projects. Successful candidates will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, mentor undergraduate and graduate students, establish a robust, externally funded research program, and publish in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. The faculty can also hire PhD students and be their advisor via the partnership with the University of Michigan-Flint. Position Information

The College of Computing offers ABET accredited undergraduate programs, several minors, badges and graduate degrees. Grand Valley has over 24,000 students. The College of Computing has over 50 full-time faculty, approximately 1,000 undergraduate students and 400 graduate students. We focus on experiential learning with opportunities for faculty-industry collaboration via our Applied Computing Institute, the Institute for Cybersecurity Education and Research, and newly established GVSU Hub on Advanced Computing Research. Assistant Professor: Minimum starting salary of $105,000, commensurate with experience Associate Professor: Minimum starting salary of $125,000, commensurate with experience Full Professor: Minimum starting salary of $160,000, commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefits package including medical, vision, dental, life insurance, generous employer retirement contributions, wellness resources and tuition waiver effective on date of hire Primary Duties
