The College of Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Arts is seeking temporary/part time faculty, for Summer 2025, Fall 2025, and Spring 2026, with the ability to teach in one or more of the following Humanities departments and disciplines: Communication Studies English Graduate Liberal Studies History Philosophy and Religion Gender Studies and Research Center World Languages and Cultures The academic year 2025-2026 includes: Summer 2025 Fall 2025 Spring 2026 Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Undergraduate course teaching: Masters degree with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline from a regionally accredited institution. Graduate course teaching: Terminal degree in the teaching discipline from a regionally accredited institution. Those with equivalent verifiable professional experience, certifications, and licensures in the discipline may also be considered. Special Instructions to Applicants
Prior to the official appointment to the university, the candidate(s) selected for hire must be able to demonstrate eligibility to teach assigned courses by successfully meeting the credentialing requirements based on official transcripts and other documentation as required. Please note, this is a temporary position. The length of the assignment will be based on department need with the possibility of continuation. Employees in temporary positions are not considered permanent state employees and do not earn leave. Temporary employees are subject to the Affordable Care Act guidelines.
