PEARCE , we have a career for you. Our Generator Technicians service and repair commercial generators on cell phone towers in your region. This role suits independent, self-starters who are willing to travel. Core Responsibilities
Maintaining generators, diagnosing and repairing problems, installing and replacing components or entire systems, and performing maintenance or upgrades on out-of-season equipment. Conducting performance checks and regular maintenance on generators to ensure proper readiness; reading and following blueprints or design specifications to install or repair. Install water and fuel supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring and controls, and test for proper operation. Respond promptly to power/generator alarms; may be on-call 24/7 and respond to assigned phone calls and emails. Work with awareness of potential hazards in installation and maintenance of power supply equipment, switching gear, and related equipment; use safety equipment and follow safety practices; attend safety and training meetings. Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs. Core Experience
2 or more years of generator maintenance experience preferred; minimum of 1 year of work experience with generator and electrical maintenance software, hardware, and processes. Thorough knowledge of generator installations, maintenance, and repair; knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components; basic computer skills. Basic knowledge of pertinent FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations. Physical/Work Environment
At Pearce safety is a priority. Candidates must comply with OSHA Standards. This position requires lifting over 50 pounds, stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and standing for long periods. Must be able to inspect and troubleshoot equipment/alarms effectively, visually and audibly. Must be willing and able to drive long distances, work day, evening, or night hours; overtime, emergency callouts, weekends, and holidays as required. Must assume 24-hour on-call duty when assigned and be away from home for extended periods. Must be able to pass a DOT physical. Base Pay Range: $20—$40 USD Compensation & Benefits
