Director, Academic and Student Services School of Public Health

The University of Memphis is seeking a Director, Academic and Student Services School of Public Health. The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Public Health or related field and 5 years of experience in Education, Assessment, Accreditation, or a related Field. Responsibilities: Works directly with the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs to monitor and fulfil accreditation requirements for the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) and Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME). Oversees the implementation of institutional surveys for CEPH and ASPPH reporting and programmatic effectiveness. Tracks strategic framework outcomes and creates centralized data repository for tracking SPH outcomes across its multiple dimensions. Manages student experiences, outreach, service-learning programs and relevant initiatives to enhance student outcomes. Develops a student-centric platform and enhances student access to resources and services. Provides leadership to student organizations and resources for their success. Coordinates academic offerings to improve student retention and graduation outcomes and enhance cross-pollination and interprofessional learning. Utilizes analytics and evidence-based practices to develop and execute quality improvement activities for learner success, teaching, engagement, and academic quality. Records curricular and programmatic changes and manages approval processes within the school. Monitors and manages academic scholarships and graduate assistantships. Assists with updating student handbooks and other academic support materials. Requirements: Master’s degree in Public Health or related field. 5 years of experience in Education, Assessment, Accreditation, or a related Field. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred Qualifications: Doctoral degree in Public Health or Related Field. Experience with academic accreditation, monitoring, and compliance. Excellent organizational skills. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire faculty, staff, and students. Working Conditions: The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stand, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
