Postdoctoral Position in HIV/Mtb co-infection therapy at UT Health Northeast (Tyler, TX). This NIH R01-supported position is immediately available to develop an immunotherapy to treat HIV/Mtb co-infection, with participation in a phage therapy project aimed at developing a cure for multi-drug resistant Mtb infection. Develop immunotherapy strategies to treat HIV/Mtb co-infection. Collaborate on a phage therapy project addressing multi-drug resistant Mtb. Qualifications
Recent Ph.D. in Biological Sciences (e.g., immunology, virology, biochemistry, molecular and cell biology) or related fields. Extensive expertise in immunology, virology, and microbiology. Experience with multicolor flow cytometry. Experience handling small animals (e.g., tail-vein injection and retro-orbital bleeding); training available on hire.
