A full-time position is available for a School Psychologist to support K-12 students within an onsite school setting in Dearborn, MI. This contract role spans a full semester and requires 35 hours per week, with dedicated time allocated for paperwork, planning, and other indirect duties.
The successful candidate will manage a K-12 caseload, addressing a diverse range of student needs and collaborating closely with educators, families, and school staff. Familiarity with Michigan-specific laws such as MARSE, experience evaluating English Language Learner (ELL) students, and the ability to apply targeted engagement and collaboration strategies are essential. Candidates must hold or be willing to obtain an active Michigan School Psychologist License.
Key Responsibilities Include
Conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments for students K-12 Interpreting assessment results to develop actionable intervention plans Providing consultative services to teachers and parents to support student learning and well-being Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote inclusive and effective educational environments Remaining current with Michigan state laws and regulations related to school psychology and special education Documenting and managing all required paperwork accurately and timely
Preferred Qualifications And Experience
Active or eligible for Michigan School Psychologist licensure Experience working with diverse student populations, including ELL students Knowledge of Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE) Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster engagement and collaboration
