The Department of Germanic and Slavic Languages and Literatures seeks a superior and innovative Teaching Associate Professor in Dutch. The successful applicant will carry a 3/3 teaching load and perform service in the department. Minimum Education and Experience
Candidates are expected to present evidence of both experience and excellence in teaching Dutch language and literature at a college or university. Ph.D. in Germanic Languages and Literatures, or a related degree, is required. Native or near-native competence in English and Dutch is required. Upload the following: 1) a letter of application; 2) a current CV; 3) a statement of teaching philosophy; 4) two syllabi (one for a course in intermediate Dutch language, and another for a course in Dutch literature and/or culture taught in English). Provide four professional references (names, titles, and emails), at least one who can discuss teaching in detail; recommenders must be at the Teaching Associate Professor, or Associate Professor, level or higher. Recommenders will be contacted for letters of support; Interfolio is also acceptable. Open until filled; review of applications will begin on October 10, 2025. Interviews will be conducted via Zoom.
