Primary responsibilities will include management and implementation of experimental design, coordination of technical support and graduate students engaged with specific research projects, data analysis and optimization of polymer applications and equipment utilization and analytical evaluation of materials. (65% of time) Conduct research on a pre-specified project as well as ones that evolve through their collaborative engagement with our current NMI biopolymer and coating teams. Responsible for senior responsibilities such as experimental design, coordination of technical support and graduate students engaged with specific research projects, data analysis and optimization of polymer applications and equipment utilization. May be involved in project-specific grant writing, regulatory document preparation and publication where applicable (non-proprietary or confidential research). (35% of time) Position Information

The postdoctoral associate will conduct research on a pre-specified project as well as ones that evolve through their collaborative engagement with our current NMI biopolymer and coating teams. The associate will take on senior responsibilities such as experimental design, coordination of technical support and graduate students engaged with specific research projects, data analysis and optimization of polymer applications and equipment utilization. The Post-Doc may be involved in project-specific grant writing, regulatory document preparation and publication where applicable (non-proprietary or confidential research). Primary responsibilities will include the formulation and production of biologically degradable adhesives. Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position
Applicants should have a Ph.D., or equivalent degree, with a background in polymer chemistry and adhesives. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies: Familiarity with polymer chemistry and adhesives; preferred knowledge in formulation and production of biologically degradable adhesives for paper coating applications.
