Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Senior Quality Engineer (FAA/ EASA Repair Station) at our Irvine, CA facility! This is an onsite role, reporting Monday - Friday to the site on a 1st shift schedule.

The Irvine facility has approximately 150 employees and is the Headquarters for Eaton Aerospace. This site makes the parts that bring jet fuel to and through thousands of aircraft every day.

The Repair Station Sr. Quality Engineer is responsible for directing, planning and laying out the details of inspection standards, methods and procedures used by the repair station in complying with all applicable FAA and EASA Regulations, manufacturer’s specifications and recommendations. This position provides support and expertise in all aspects of Plant Quality Systems functions. The Quality Systems include ISO 9001, AS9100, FAA 14 CFR 145, EASA:JAR 145.1 Certifications. Main responsibilities include review and assurance of compliance to FAA/EASA regulatory requirements. The expected annual salary range for this role is $95,737.50 - $140,415.0 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. What You’ll Do

This role is responsible for directing, planning and laying out the details of inspection standards, methods and procedures used by the repair station in complying with all applicable FAA and EASA Regulations, manufacturer’s specifications and recommendations.

The candidate for the role will define and execute Strategic Quality Plan in conjunction with Plant Leadership. They will act as the liaison with all Federal officials and Customers, while maintaining current files of pertinent Federal Aviation Regulations, specifications, certifications, Repair Station manual, procedures and Airworthiness Directives. In this role, you will manage the proper execution of FAA form 8130-3 or maintenance release tags/documentation and provide oversight of the final acceptance of all incoming material, including new parts, supplies and the airworthiness of articles which work has been performed outside the repair station by contract. Qualifications

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution Minimum of two (2) years of work experience within a Quality function in the Aerospace industry Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in a FAA /EASA Repair Station. Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) Customer-specific quality registration schemes and certification processes experience (i.e. ISO9001, ISO/TS-16949, AS9100) Certified DMIR and Repair person. Previous work experience of problem-solving methods such as: Six Sigma, 8D, root cause analysis, and the associated statistical tools used to analyze problems, evaluate and complete improvement projects Working knowledge of process auditing techniques to ensure compliance to defined quality requirements Previous work experience in Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction concepts and tool sets as they relate to process/product variability, and root cause and corrective action determination Familiarity with engineering design and product reliability concepts and tool sets Skills Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Good analytical skills and strong business acumen to understand consequences of decisions Strong communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written Awareness of international cultures Ability to work in a matrix environment, get results and drive change through others. Effective oral and written communication skills as well as planning and organizational skills. Ability to manage by influence through solid relationships and process focus Ability to effectively present results and recommendations to senior-level executive team. Leverage expertise from other Eaton divisions to continuously improve design standards. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
