Job Title: Assistant or Associate Professor in Educational Psychology, 9 Month Salaried - Learning & Cognition or Measurement & Statistics Location: Tallahassee, FL Regular/Temporary: Regular Full/Part Time: Full-Time Responsibilities Candidates will be expected to maintain a rigorous grant writing and research program, teach graduate-level courses in their program, train and supervise master’s and doctoral students, and participate in university governance commensurate with rank. The position will involve teaching, research, and service within either the Learning and Cognition or the Measurement and Statistics Program within the Department of Educational Psychology and Learning Systems (EPLS) and will include a joint appointment with the Florida Center for Reading Research (FCRR). Qualifications
PhD in Educational Psychology, Measurement, Developmental Psychology, Statistics, or a related field Demonstrated evidence of rigorous research productivity, including evidence of an independent program of research with peer-reviewed research publications and competitive external grant funding Demonstrated commitment to graduate teaching and training, including evidence of developing doctoral students Demonstrated commitment to continued grant-funded research and scholarly productivity Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated evidence of federally funded research activities A program of research related to intervention and instruction in reading, writing, or both, professional development in reading, writing, or both, developing or evaluating reading or writing assessments, or similar reading- or writing-related topic areas. The candidate will join an interdisciplinary group of colleagues and students at FCRR. Drawing from multiple disciplines, FCRR investigates all aspects of reading and reading-related skills across the lifespan. FSU is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
