Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Assistant Professor
Medical degree (MD/DO) from an accredited School of Medicine
Board certified or board eligible in Sleep Medicine
Completion of a Sleep Fellowship (ACGME accredited)
Ability to obtain license to practice as a physician in the State of Colorado with prescriptive privileges by the time of hire
Completion of Sleep Medicine accredited training with an appropriate medical specialty
Associate Professor
Current or past faculty appointment as an Assistant or Associate Professor in an academic medical institution
Medical degree (MD/DO) from an accredited School of Medicine
Board certified or board eligible in Sleep Medicine
Completion of a Sleep Fellowship (ACGME accredited)
Ability to obtain license to practice as a physician in the State of Colorado with prescriptive privileges by the time of hire
Completion of Sleep Medicine accredited training with an appropriate medical specialty
Preferred Qualifications
Appropriate background specialty prior to sleep medicine training
Prior experience in the development of a sleep center in an academic setting
Accomplishment in basic, clinical, health services, translational, or educational research
General Internal Medicine knowledge and skills
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of standard inpatient and outpatient clinical operations and procedures
Ability to work independently, as well as serving as a team member
Skilled in the use of and EMR for patient charting and all standard office software
Ability to develop collaborative or independent research projects
Ability to provide educational knowledge and skills to various learners
Excellent communication skills to interact with learners, faculty, healthcare teams, administrators, community organizations, and donors
