MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPIST - Correctional Training Facility (CTF), Soledad, CA. Responsibilities
Under the general direction of the Sr. Psychologist, Supv/Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker I, the Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) works in Mental Health Services. Diagnose and treat mental and emotional disorders within the context of marriage, couples and family systems, following the applicable Business and Professions Code(s) and license requirements. Incumbents shall refer incarcerated patients to other licensed health care professionals in accordance with standardized procedures. Collaborate with other health care professionals and departments to support treatment plans and rehabilitation goals. Minimum Qualifications
Education: Completion of a master’s degree from an accredited school for Marriage and Family Therapy that meets the requirements in Business and Professional Code 4980.36. Licensure: Valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science. Note: A Training and Development (T&D) assignment will not be considered at this time. Additional Information
This is a limited term position which may be extended or become permanent. Job Control is listed Until Filled. Applications will be reviewed on specified dates. PLP 2025: Effective July 1, 2025, the Personal Leave Program requires base salary reductions with monthly leave credits through June 2027 (salaries do not reflect the recent changes). Referral bonus: Eligible employees may be offered a $5,000 referral bonus after hire and 90 days of employment, subject to completing the pre-employment questionnaire. Compensation and Location
