Helping Others Manage Emotions Therapeutic Services, LLC is seeking an
ALCOHOL and DRUG COUNSELOR - ADT, CSC-AD, CAC-AD
to join the team. This position offers the opportunity to deliver health programs and resources to a diverse Baltimore-based clientele. The Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor provides counseling and case management services to clients with substance use disorders by using interventions, referrals, treatment, and rehabilitation. This is a dual position between clinical and residential,
40 hrs a week . Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm (flexible) Pay:
$35-$50 based on experience Responsibilities: Drive 15 passenger van. Assist in the client intake process. Administer approved assessment instruments and interpret the results. Familiarity with all levels of care. Develop treatment plans (Initial and Reviews) to include problem areas, goals, interventions, desired outcomes, and treatment strategies, as well as making referrals for ancillary services. Provide counseling and case management for clients with substance use disorders. Facilitate didactic group meetings with clients. Provide individual/crisis counseling sessions. Complete discharge summaries in a timely fashion. Present clients for Treatment Team Review as needed. Maintain accurate and updated client records. Coordinate activities and deliver rehabilitation and support services which address individual client goals and objectives contained within the client's rehabilitation plan. Develop or restore self-care skills including personal hygiene, grooming, menu planning and preparation, socialization skills, independent living skills, community awareness, mobility skills, and/or money management. Provide health teaching and prevention of communicable diseases. Provide basic supervision in home-like environments for individuals with varying levels of mental illness. Coordinate activities that promote community integration. Communicate with program staff regarding client progress. On-call availability for weekends/After Hours. Approved by the Maryland State Board of Professional Counselor and Therapists as an ADT, CSC-AD or CAC-AD.
