$40.00/hr - $50.00/hr Direct message the job poster from Swoon The EHS Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety of employees, clients, and the public. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. The EHS Manager will oversee safety performance across all projects and operations, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities

Safety Program Development Develop, maintain, and continuously enhance company safety policies, programs, and procedures. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations and industry best practices. Collaborate with leadership to set measurable safety objectives and performance benchmarks. Safety Training Design, plan, and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels. Ensure all personnel are knowledgeable about safety protocols, hazard recognition, and best practices. Maintain accurate records of safety training and provide necessary materials and resources. Safety Compliance Monitor and enforce compliance with all safety standards across projects and work sites. Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and mitigate risks. Develop corrective action plans and ensure timely implementation of improvements. Incident Response and Investigation Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, near-misses, and safety violations. Document findings, identify root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Report incidents in accordance with regulatory and company requirements and ensure follow-up completion. Safety Culture and Communication Promote a proactive safety culture where employees at all levels take ownership of safe work practices. Encourage open communication of safety concerns and incident reporting without retaliation. Recognize and reward employees and teams demonstrating exceptional safety performance. Safety Reporting and Documentation Prepare and maintain accurate safety records, metrics, and reports for leadership and regulatory agencies. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data to drive safety improvements. Ensure timely submission of all required reports and documentation. Develop and maintain emergency response plans and site-specific safety protocols. Coordinate drills and training exercises to ensure readiness for potential emergencies. Evaluate response effectiveness and update plans as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or a related field. 2–3 years of safety management experience, preferably in construction, utilities, or industrial environments. Strong working knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety regulations. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software. Relevant safety certifications (BCSP, IASHEP, OSHA, or NCCER preferred). Minimum OSHA 30 Certification; additional competent person or high-risk activity certifications strongly preferred. Work Environment and Physical Requirements Exposure to extreme cold, heat, noise, and odors in an industrial or construction environment. Regular climbing of ladders, scaffolding, and stairs to access elevated or confined work areas. Occasional lifting of tools, materials, and equipment up to 40 lbs. Valid driver’s license and insurability required; driving record subject to background check. Work may involve high-risk activities such as energy isolation, equipment energization, trenching, excavation, confined space entry, lifting operations, and working at heights. Seniority level
