Overview
The EH&S Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety of employees, customers, and the public. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing safety programs and policies, as well as overseeing compliance across all projects and operations. Responsibilities
Safety Program Development Develop, maintain, and continuously improve organizational safety policies and procedures. Ensure alignment with local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards. Collaborate with leadership to set safety objectives and establish performance metrics. Safety Training Plan, develop, and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels. Provide resources and materials to support training efforts. Ensure employees are knowledgeable about safety protocols and best practices. Safety Compliance Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations across all projects and activities. Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and assessments to identify hazards and risks. Develop corrective action plans and ensure their implementation. Investigate accidents, near misses, and safety violations. Document findings, recommend corrective measures, and follow up to prevent recurrence. Prepare reports in accordance with regulatory requirements. Safety Culture Promote a strong safety culture by encouraging shared responsibility. Support employee reporting of safety concerns and incidents. Recognize individuals and teams for strong safety performance. Safety Reporting Prepare and maintain safety reports, statistics, and records for leadership and regulatory bodies. Ensure timely submission of required safety documentation. Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures. Conduct drills and exercises to ensure readiness for potential emergencies. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Relevant safety certifications required. Proven experience in safety management, ideally within the electrical, utility, or construction industries. Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software. Minimum 2–3 years of construction safety management experience. Preferred: BCSP, IASHEP, OSHA, or NCCER certifications. Minimum OSHA 30 Certification; additional high-risk activity training or certifications preferred. Seniority level
