As a Plant Controller, you will provide financial leadership to one of GPI’s largest converting plants with the aim of maximizing long-term value, cash flows and shareholder return in the Americas Converting Division. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in an Accounting/Finance role with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment, and will provide accurate and timely financial reporting to ensure we meet our business objectives. You will work with cross-functional teams to analyze data, provide management with assessments of key projects, and support continuous improvement activities to achieve world-class financial reporting standards. Job functions include, but are not limited to the following. Primary responsibilities
Manage the finance process for the entire plant Manage the plant financial team, supervise inventory control, and partner with plant management to achieve financial and operating objectives Provide analytical support to promote continuous improvement for all activities and processes of the plant Analyze month end results: P&L and Balance Sheet, including variance analysis Develop month end results package for the Plant to present to Senior Management Provide monthly financial forecasts and analysis Provide key decision support to plant management Coordinate the plant annual budget process; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data, with a complete understanding of all risks and opportunities Support all plant safety and operating initiatives Monitor and work with plant management to validate savings Provide analytical support for cross-functional projects, including but not limited to customer profitability analysis and pricing Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures and policies Protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits (primarily inventory and fixed assets); provide information to internal & external auditors Job requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a Business-related field required Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated strengths in analysis, planning and forecasting Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience Demonstrated ability to drive P&L performance and autonomously lead the financial function for an operating plant Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office Suite Travel
Schedule demands
General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so. Physical demands
Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8 hours Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs Reading computer screen or other electronic devices Use of various office hand and electronic tools or equipment Seniority level
