What is the Opportunity?
Under the direction of the BSA Risk Manager, this role is responsible for carrying out regulatory/compliance issuance monitoring, risk assessments, and internal controls testing to promote an effective BSA control environment. Responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and escalating issues related to BSA, AML, OFAC and the USA PATRIOT Act components of the Bank's BSA Program while utilizing current compliance industry standards. Develop new and/or update policy and procedures related to BSA, AML, OFAC and the USA PATRIOT Act Bank wide. Acts as a liaison with colleagues throughout the organization related to BSA, AML, OFAC and the USA PATRIOT Act. Build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers while providing exemplary customer service. Functions as a backup to the BSA Risk Officer in specific areas as necessary.
What Will You Do?
Carries out regulatory/compliance issuances monitoring, risk assessments, and internal controls testing to promote an effective BSA control environment, under the guidance of the BSA Risk Manager.
Analyzes and escalates issues related to BSA, AML, OFAC and the USA PATRIOT Act components of the Bank's BSA Program using current compliance standards.
Identify gaps and deficiencies in BSA functions, processes, policies and procedures; create and implement corrective actions and track gap remediation.
Develop and present training to assist in gap remediation and required enhancements.
Communicate and escalate identified BSA, AML, OFAC and USA PATRIOT Act operational concerns to appropriate management.
Complete special projects as assigned.
Attend internal and external meetings, seminars, and workshops to expand professional expertise.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Bank policies, procedures and industry best practices.
What Do You Need to Succeed?
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of Banking industry experience
Minimum 4 years of experience in a BSA/OFAC specific role (such as KYC, EDD, financial crime investigations, compliance) at a financial institution
ACAMS Current Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) Certification
Additional Qualifications
Model risk management experience
Tuning/testing of financial crimes screening models
Experience with LexisNexis Bridger
Experience with LexisNexis Fircosoft
Working knowledge of banking operations and Bank Secrecy Act/OFAC regulations
Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
Knowledge and understanding of federal regulations pertaining to the BSA and OFAC
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Excellent verbal/written communication skills
Experience with quality control, audit or compliance testing is preferred
What’s In It For You? Compensation Starting base salary: $71,869 - $114,797 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
