Responsibilities

Posts room charges and taxes to guest accounts Processes guest charges vouchers and credit card vouchers Posts charges to guest accounts that have not been posted or were incurred on the night audit shift Transfers charges and deposits to master accounts Checks to ensure all charges are assigned to the appropriate departments Verifies that all front desk transactions are supported by documentary evidence and signatures as necessary and properly posted to the PMS system Verifies that charges posted from the POS Software or SPA software reach the correct guest folios and are not missing Prints and files reservations for the next business day Verifies all account postings and balances Verifies that room rates are correct and posts those rates to guest accounts Monitors the current status of coupon, discount, and other promotional programs Functions as a front desk agent, especially for check-in and check-out procedures Prepares a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities Summarizes results of operations for management Checks figures, postings, and documents for accuracy Records, stores, accesses, and/or analyzes computerized financial information Performs End of Day procedures Follows the End of Day / Night Audit Checklist Balances the day’s charges and makes corrections as necessary Performs wake-up calls Runs end of day process in the property management software (PMS) Responds to guest needs, special requests, and complaints and alerts the appropriate manager as needed Qualifications

Understand principles of auditing, balancing, and closing out accounts Knows how to operate PMS, PCs, and other front office equipment Must have complete knowledge of emergency procedures High school diploma or GED Previous experience is a plus Benefits
