Summary The Portfolio Manager assists in assessing risk and managing the Bank’s loan portfolio by providing analytical and credit oversight. They are responsible for annual reviews, renewals, loan covenant compliance, and financial collection processes within their assigned portfolio. The role partners with Relationship Managers to grow and develop a high-quality, profitable loan portfolio.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Evaluate pertinent information to determine risk ratings and assess whether credits are acceptable risks; identify credit risk trends at the customer and portfolio levels; notify managers of risk changes.

Partner with Relationship Managers to:

Meet with current and prospective clients to understand their specific requirements and needs.

Collect financial data to ensure accurate risk assessment and thorough underwriting.

Answer client questions and verify data accuracy for loan underwriting.

Analyze global cash flow for prospects, borrowers, and guarantors to assess financial condition, profitability, repayment ability, and operating trends.

Prepare financial spreads, Credit Presentation Sheets, Narratives, Relationship Summaries, and Loan Pricing Models; assemble packages for approval for new and existing credits.

Assist in pricing and structuring new loans and renewals.

Coordinate closing and booking events.

Monitor industry trends and analyze data to identify potential risks.

Send 120-day renewal notices to clients, outlining key financial information needed for renewal; complete loan covenant compliance and annual reviews.

Complete and maintain compliance and regulatory courses as required.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or equivalent experience.

2+ years of experience; 2-4 years preferred.

Strong analytical and credit underwriting skills.

Goal-oriented with initiative and problem-solving skills.

Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in grammar, typing, and spelling.

Strong organizational skills.

Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
