The SBA is seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager to join the Fixed Income asset class. The Senior Portfolio Manager – Fixed Income is responsible for portfolio management of the Fixed Income Active Core and MBS passive portfolio. This position is located in Tallahassee, FL and requires on-site, in-office work.
What you will do:
Performs portfolio management of the Fixed Income Active Core portfolio
Constructs and manages the MBS Passive portfolio
Manages and mentors Securitized Team staff
Monitors and evaluates all Securitized Assets, including those outside of directly managed portfolios as needed
Demonstrates ability to effectively manage human and financial resources
Develops, implements and monitors strategic plans, or works in collaboration with the senior leader over the department to contribute to the success of the department/unit and overall organization
Performs other duties as assigned
What you should have:
Ten years of related experience. A postsecondary degree may be used as an alternative for years of direct experience; 2 years for an associate’s degree, 4 years for a bachelor’s degree, 6 years for a master’s degree, 7 years for a professional degree, or 9 years for a doctoral degree.
Preferences:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in finance, mathematics, accounting, economics, business, or a related field
Seven or more years of related experience
Three or more years of related supervisory experience
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) credential
Master of Business Administration or master’s degree from an accredited college or university in finance, mathematics, accounting, economics, or a related field
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Extensive knowledge of Fixed Income investments in general and Securitized Assets in particular
Extensive capital markets knowledge
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with comprehensive knowledge of finance and investment concepts
Skill in trading all Investment Grade Fixed Income instruments – including derivatives, especially Securitized Assets
Critical reasoning skills, with the ability to question and understand strategy and portfolio construction
Good oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate a strategy/investment idea and translate into portfolio action
Ability to communicate effectively at a senior level to a broad group of investment professionals
Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Base pay range
$150,780.00/yr - $225,000.00/yr
