Join the State of Maryland as a Senior Fixed Income Portfolio Manager III for the Maryland State Retirement and Pension System (SRPS). The role supports a global multi‑asset portfolio that pays the benefits for the state’s public servants. Responsibilities

Lead monitoring and due diligence across one or more fixed‑income asset classes. Source, evaluate, and recommend investment opportunities; trade and manage securitized portfolios (ABS, CMBS, MBS). Conduct quantitative modeling, market analysis, and performance attribution for portfolio and external manager investments. Prepare and present portfolio performance reports to Investment Division staff and the Board of Trustees’ Investment Committee. Manage consultant relationships and support development of analysts, associates, and interns. Collaborate with the Fixed Income team on strategy, execution, and best‑execution practices. Qualifications

Education

– Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or related field. Experience

– Investment or finance background with institutional portfolio management experience. Preferred

– CFA designation or advanced finance degree; experience in pension, endowment, or institutional investment organization; structured product experience (ABS, CMBS, MBS); strong quantitative analysis and critical thinking skills. Desired Software Skills

Bloomberg (PORT, AIM, and trading facilities); Aladdin Risk system; Tradeweb, MarketAxess, Yieldbook, Trepp, R, Python, VBA. Microsoft Excel (advanced automation), Word, PowerPoint. Benefits
