Salary:

The salary range for this position is $91,727.00 to $147,388.89. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. REMOTE WORK:

The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access. Position Summary

The Judiciary of New Jersey, Hudson Vicinage is seeking a versatile and proactive individual with strong leadership, analytical, administrative, financial management, and communication skills to serve as the Assistant Finance Division Manager (Court Executive 1B). Under the general direction of the Court Executive 2B (Vicinage Finance Division Manager), the selected candidate will assist in planning, directing, and evaluating the work of the Finance Division. The Assistant Finance Division Manager will directly oversee the Court Held Funds Units in the vicinage, including fines, fees, restitution, escrow, and other court ordered payments. The successful candidate will also be responsible for coordinating the daily activities of the Vicinage Finance Office, such as accounting, purchasing, budgeting, fixed asset management, position control, and financial reporting. This individual must be self-motivated, results oriented, committed to quality service, and possess strong technical and computer skills. Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls, operating procedures, and systems; regulate the flow of work; prioritize work according to operating schedules. Supervise employees; conduct formal work performance evaluations; mentor and coach staff; provide direction and feedback; mediate and resolve conflicts; develop staff through training. Plan agendas for meetings; write or direct the development of user or operations documents, manuals, guides, and other materials; facilitate staff or team decision-making processes. Coordinate work unit or team goals; regulate the flow of work; consult with local, AOC, or other agency stakeholders regarding issues with pending matters; offer suggestions or solutions to existing problems; perform related duties. Ensure daily activities of the Vicinage Finance Office align with organizational objectives and compliance requirements. Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree, including or supplemented by 21 credit hours in accounting, business administration, economics, public administration, and/or finance. Six of these credits must be in accounting and three years of professional administrative experience, one of which shall have included experience in accounting, auditing, budgeting, cash management, financial analysis, finance, and/or developing, implementing and analyzing financial procedures, systems and controls. Substitutions:

Applicants who do not possess the required education but have the required 21 credit hours in accounting, business administration, economics, public administration, and/or finance (including six accounting credit hours) may substitute experience on a year-for-year basis. A master's degree may be substituted for one year of general experience as indicated above or a CPA designation may be substituted for one year of general experience as indicated above. Driver’s license valid in New Jersey if operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties. US citizenship is not required; selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US.
