This position is located at our corporate office in Raleigh, NC. We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented senior accountant with the ability to thrive in our fast paced, growing organization. This individual must be able to identify and resolve problems both independently and as a part of a team. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or relevant accounting experience; CPA preferred Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with CPA/Masters degree Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Must be a self-starter and a quick learner who can work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Excel; JD Edwards skills desirable Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines Detail-oriented with effective verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization Strong organizational and time management ability Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on capacity Manufacturing or construction and inventory accounting experience a plus Ability to travel on occasion About Martin Marietta
