Investment Banking Associate, Leveraged Finance - New York

Overview: Santander is a global leader in financial services and seeks an experienced professional to support the banking team in structuring, negotiating and executing syndicated/private credit facilities for leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, dividend recapitalizations, refinancings and other leveraged finance transactions. Responsibilities
Support the development of client presentation materials and pitchbooks, including background research, analysis and drafting. Perform valuation analysis (discounted cash flow, trading comparables, deal comparables, LBO analysis) and assist in preparing committee approval materials for LFRC and IBC. Assist in the syndication process by supporting Capital Markets and Coverage Bankers in preparing materials and responding to investor questions. Assist senior bankers on client coverage initiatives and negotiations with corporate or private equity sponsor clients on business terms and legal documentation. Support transaction execution throughout its life cycle, delivering high-quality work to meet internal processes and client requests. Provide detailed support of due diligence processes and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards and internal risk controls. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. 3+ years of experience in Leveraged Finance Investment Banking (preferred). Knowledge of corporate finance and investment banking products; experience in Leveraged Finance is preferred. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint with strong financial modeling skills. Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills; ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines; proven ability to work collaboratively in a team. What You Bring

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions, the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, and location.
