: Utilize various data sources, both internal and external, to gain market insight, primarily focused in our key markets of aerospace, automotive, general engineering, and packaging markets. Monitor trends from market customers, competition and suppliers to broaden understanding Partner with Kaiser product managers to gain insight into product categories, market trends, customer preferences and other relevant market information Monitor supply chain inventory levels and that impact on demand trends Gather, analyze and forecast future outcomes with large data sets to provide insight into industry and economic drivers Maintaining and expanding upon existing models that track relevant economics factors, industry & market drivers and other relevant market information Attend industry conferences and other trade shows that would provide insight into research process Prepare detailed reports of findings to various in-house customer groups, through visualizations that best articulate industry trends FP&A Needs: Participate in monthly close and consolidation of forecast and actual results Prepare variance analysis on results to forecast and business plan Assist in researching, compiling and analysis of historical key financial metrics as requested Design and construct of financial models and reports on a need basis Qualifications
What you will bring to the role: A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or applicable business degree with a pedigree for using data to answer business problems Prior experience gathering, organizing and reporting upon industry, economic and other relevant data sources Experience with MS Excel, Power BI , PPT, Access Database and/or other relevant platforms; Experience with Data Analysis program – R is preferred Prior Hyperion exposure is preferred Predicative modeling capability a plus but not required Three statement modeling (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, & Cash Flow) or a thorough understanding is a must. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills. Proven ability and preference to work in teams. Extremely high attention to detail. An analytical mind with superior problem solving aptitude.
