We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented

Property Accountant

with solid GAAP knowledge and advanced financial analysis skills. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, works independently, and ensures accuracy across all accounting and reporting processes. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and provide timely financial status reports for management and stakeholders. Conduct monthly close tasks, including bank, credit card, and accounts receivable reconciliations. Maintain and update fixed assets, prepaid schedules, and monthly financial forecasts. Complete annual personal property tax returns and manage business license renewals. Oversee accounts, ledgers, and intercompany accounts, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. Record journal entries as needed and enforce internal controls to protect company assets. Support the finance team on property-related financial matters and client relations. Submit yearly vendor 1099 forms and ensure organizational documents are renewed on schedule. Utilize Yardi (or similar property management/accounting software) to streamline processes and reporting. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2–3 years of progressive property accounting experience. Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP and strong financial analysis skills. Advanced Excel skills; experience with other financial systems preferred. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, across all levels of the organization. Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to perform under pressure.
