Base pay range
$100,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Manage and monitor all financial aspects of construction projects, including budgets, expenditures, and cash management. Track and record project-related costs, ensuring alignment with contract terms, construction industry standards and company policies. Review and process invoices from contractors and vendors, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Job Costing
Prepare detailed job cost reports and analyze variances between actual and budgeted project costs. Allocate labor, materials, and equipment costs to respective projects and job phases. Ensure timely and accurate tracking of work-in-progress (WIP) schedules. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Collaborate with project managers to forecast cash flow. Prepare construction loans reporting packages and draw requisitions. Support the preparation of annual budgets.
Accounts Payable and Payroll
Handle accounts payable ensuring timely payments. Review, code and submit invoices for the approval to project managers. Prepare and oversee processing of projects’ payroll.
Compliance and Audit
Ensure compliance with the bank requirements, accounting standards, tax regulations, and contractual obligations. Assist in preparing for external audits, providing necessary documentation related to construction projects. Ensure adherence to local labor laws, union agreements, and prevailing wage requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 3+ years of experience in construction accounting Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Sage 300, Procore) would be a plus Strong understanding of job costing principles, WIP reporting, and contract administration. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Team player with a strong work ethic and willing to work in the office as required (currently 4 days a week). Position details
