Senior
Property Accountant
is responsible for handling of cash and basic accrual accounting functions, including general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and technical/clerical support. Use established accounting principles to work under guided supervision and to consistently produce a high quality and accurate work product. Scope Of Responsibilities Provide timely & accurate accounting information for Intelica-managed portfolio, including retail, office & industrial properties Perform monthly bank reconciliations and financial statements Prepare and post any necessary Journal Entries, including recurring entries for Real Estate Tax, Depreciation, and Amortization Prepare consolidated financial statements for ownership groups Management Fee calculation using Excel and billing using QuickBooks Quarterly owner distributions, processed through Yardi Pay Owner function Loan payment coding and approval Initiate monthly tax reserve bank transfers Oversee A/P and A/R operations and personnel Work closely with Property Management team to address all property accounting issues Prepare annual 1099-MISC, 1099-INT, and file 1096’s with IRS for all entities Work with all entities on Real Estate Tax appeals, including letters to counties affected Year-end close including workpaper preparation, working with tax preparers, tax return review, K-1 distribution, and rolling/distribution of Retained Earnings Qualifications Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, with 3+ years in Commercial Real Estate / Property Accounting preferred Experience with Yardi accounting software preferred, QuickBooks knowledge a plus Excellent communication and organization skills, with the ability to respond quickly and effectively to owner/client requests Ability to work independently and in a team setting Advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles Why You Should Choose Intelica CRE At Intelica CRE we use our knowledge and talents for the greater world around us.
