Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical
Senior Cost Accountant . This role is responsible for cost accounting, variance analysis, and supporting operational decision-making through accurate and timely financial insights. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing accounting, ERP systems, and cost control strategies. Key Responsibilities: Perform detailed cost analysis, including standard costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variances. Analyze and report on production costs, labor, overhead, and material usage variances. Partner with operations and supply chain teams to support cost control and efficiency initiatives. Assist in the development and maintenance of standard costs and cost accounting systems. Support month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations related to inventory and cost of goods sold. Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing cost-related insights and analysis. Contribute to ERP system enhancements and implementations, with a focus on cost accounting modules. Provide support for internal and external audits related to inventory and cost accounting. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required). CPA or CMA certification (preferred). Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (preferred). 5+ years of progressive experience in cost accounting and variance analysis roles (required). Experience in the manufacturing industry (required). Experience with ERP systems; Oracle Fusion experience is a strong plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
