Scope of Role
Active client engagement on an ongoing basis including sourcing new opportunities, execution of live deals, and managing both RSF-proprietary and broader GS-shared client relationships. The candidate would work closely with colleagues from various internal teams, including but not limited to other parts of the Capital Solutions Group, Sales & Trading, and Investment Banking
Perform due diligence on warehouse and term financings, securitization and investment opportunities, which includes market research, on-site evaluation, analytical risk-based modeling and asset valuation work, and assessment of legal, regulatory compliance and other risks. Review and negotiate underlying deal documentation and conduct transaction structuring
Structuring - Structure securitizations across non-agency and non-traditional collateral sectors on both principal and third party transactions
Documentation - Prepare term sheets and other marketing materials as well as ensure securitization related documents are correct and complete
Product development - Collaborate to monitor market developments and devise novel and unique features to optimize securitization and bilateral financing structures; understanding the implication of and solving regulatory, structural and market challenges
Model and research development - Work to develop financial models in support of transaction execution, rating agency interactions and investor dialogue
Communication - Ability to interact with external clients, investors, rating agencies, accountants, other deal parties and internal teams regarding overall transaction and related details
We expect that this professional will be a key part of our client franchise and will participate in and travel to meetings and client events
Minimum education and experience required:
Vice President: Bachelor's degree plus 8-10+ years of non-agency Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities experience or related experience
Qualifications / Skills required:
Structured products experience and demonstrated knowledge of fixed income markets
Demonstrated financial modeling skills to understand and develop deal structure and cash flow waterfall models for revolving and amortizing transactions
Experience using Intex and Bloomberg.
Experience evaluating non-agency mortgage-backed securities
Ability to communicate and work under tight timeframes with external clients and internal teams
Enthusiastic, proactive team player that will drive transactions and projects
