GBM Private, Structured Finance - Structured Credit Solutions Group, Vice President, New York Our division works on complex financial challenges and transactions, including advising on mergers, providing financial solutions for acquisitions, or structuring initial public offerings. We work with corporations, pension funds, financial sponsors, and governments, and are a team of analytical thinkers with a passion for producing innovative ideas. The Americas Financing Group within Global Banking & Markets is looking for an Associate to join the Structured Finance - Structured Credit Solutions (SCS) team in New York. SCS is a diverse, global business that brings together capabilities across financing, underwriting, capital raising, risk management, and advisory to provide holistic solutions to our clients. The group collaborates with classic investment banking, trading, and other product groups to originate and execute structured finance transactions. The SCS team is a market-leading franchise focused on pioneering creative and novel structured solutions for corporate clients across sectors, including TMT, Industrials, Natural Resources, etc. The team works on meaningful financings such as structured equity joint ventures, airline loyalty-backed financings, spectrum-backed financings, pre-IPO structured holdco financings, and cross-border asset-backed LBO financings, among others. Current focus areas include hybrid capital, non-traditional project finance, bespoke future flow financings, tax credit monetization, and special situations financings. Through cross-divisional collaboration with our markets-facing division, the team offers both best-efforts and principal executions for clients in developed and emerging markets. The team employs a OneGS approach to collaborate with colleagues in the broader Latin American and EMEA regions to source effective financing solutions for our clients.
Responsibilities
The Vice President role in SCFG combines features of classic investment banking, principal investing, and sales and trading.
Vice Presidents play an important role in developing and strengthening client relationships, leading financing teams, and structuring and executing a full range of financial transactions. They are integral to nimble, dynamic teams and will manage transaction processes, lead junior analysts/associates, review models and analyses, and work across coverage teams on multiple projects. VPs have opportunities (and an expectation) to engage with clients, gain exposure to GS leadership, and develop broad product knowledge while building a broad skill set in a short period of time.
Desired Qualifications
Master\'s Degree and 4+ years; OR Bachelor\'s degree and 7+ years of Investment Banking, Structured Finance, Securitization, ABS, or Asset Backed Finance experience essential Experience of working on complex, structured transactions Ability to form independent judgments and move transactions forward 2+ years\' experience in leading deal teams of analysts and associates Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong quantitative and technical abilities Personal integrity, initiative and leadership qualities Capacity to interact and build relationships with a wide range of people and act as a point of contact Drive, enthusiasm, creativity and excellent interpersonal skills Strong oral and written communications skills Ability to work as part of a team in an environment that demands excellence, time and energy
Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $150,000-$300,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
