A boutique tax advisory firm is hiring a Senior Staff Analyst to manage a portfolio of commercial real estate properties and deliver measurable tax savings. You will analyze assessments for appeal opportunities, prepare hearing-ready documentation, manage appeals (informal, formal, and litigation support), prepare filings and workpapers, audit and segregate fixed assets, and research and negotiate incentives. You will communicate with clients and jurisdictions, track deadlines, and help improve internal processes. About the role The Senior Staff Analyst will be responsible for leading assessment reviews and identifying appeal opportunities across a commercial real estate portfolio. This will involve building hearing-ready support packages and managing appeals from informal through litigation support. The successful candidate will also prepare and maintain accurate filings, renditions, and workpapers, audit and segregate fixed assets, and support business personal property compliance as needed. Responsibilities Lead assessment reviews and identify appeal opportunities across a commercial real estate portfolio. Coordinate timelines, communicate with clients and jurisdictions, and meet all deadlines. Requirements At least five years in property tax with two or more years at the senior level, focusing on real-property valuation, appeals, and compliance. Strong skills in Excel, Word, and Adobe; familiarity with property-tax systems such as PTMS, AppealTrack, or Karbon is a plus. Clear written and verbal communication, strong organization, and the ability to manage shifting priorities. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; Business or Mathematics considered with relevant property-tax and fixed-asset experience. Benefits Competitive base pay with a bonus program.
