Prosperity Bank is seeking a Commercial Banking Officer with a proven track record of building relationships to develop lower-middle market relationships with corporations and not-for-profit entities with annual revenues generally ranging from $5 million to $500 million. Position Purpose

As a Commercial Banker, your primary role will be to grow and retain profitable relationships. This is accomplished by focusing on the delivery of value-added solutions to clients and prospects that will help them reach their goals and maximize revenues over the life of the relationship. You will be a fully experienced, qualified relationship manager capable of independent activity, with proven client relationship skills, extensive product knowledge, technical expertise, and strong transaction execution skills. Credit process management is a critical component of the job. Performance will be measured by effectiveness in marketing activities, including calling activity, proposal generation, revenue generation, risk mitigation, ability to build successful relationships, and the propensity to help grow the franchise for the long term. You will also seek opportunities to cross-sell into every relationship and anticipate future client needs. Responsibilities

Solicit commercial clients; aggressively seek and obtain quality new business through client and prospect calls, referrals, and cross-selling efforts. Obtain and maintain COIs and attend various networking events in the assigned geographic area. Leverage skills and experience in loan structuring and credit analysis. Generate a wide variety of commercial and real estate loans. Close loans typically in the $1 million to $10 million range. Contribute to deposit growth by cross-selling and promoting additional banking products. Other duties as assigned. Education/Certification

Bachelor’s degree in banking, finance or other related field is preferred. Experience Required

Formally credit trained and/or underwriting knowledge and experience is preferred. Typically a minimum of seven years direct lending or credit support related experience with focus on business relationships. Knowledge Required

Familiarity with the sales, loan processing and closing processes. Extensive knowledge of Commercial Banking products and services including working knowledge of C&I as well as Owner-Occupied and Investment Commercial Real Estate loans. Skills/Abilities

Ability to expand loans, client relationships and cross-sell bank products. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills and a proven track record of business development. Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Seniority level
