Overview

Prosperity Bank is seeking a Commercial Banking Officer with a proven track record of building relationships to develop lower-middle market relationships with corporations and not-for-profit entities with annual revenues generally ranging from $5 million to $500 million. As a Commercial Banker, your primary role will be to grow and retain profitable relationships by delivering value-added solutions to clients and prospects that help them reach their goals and maximize revenue over the life of the relationship. You will be a fully experienced, qualified relationship manager capable of independent activity with proven client relationship skills, extensive product knowledge, technical expertise and strong transaction execution skills. Credit process management is a critical component of the role. Performance will be measured by marketing activities (calling, proposal generation, revenue generation, risk mitigation, relationship building, and long-term franchise development). You will seek opportunities to cross-sell into every relationship and anticipate future client needs.

Responsibilities

Solicit commercial clients; aggressively seek and obtain quality new business through client and prospect calls, referrals, and cross-selling efforts.

Obtain and maintain COIs and attend various networking events in the assigned geographic area (Knowledge of the Dallas/Fort Worth commercial market is preferred).

Apply loan structuring and credit analysis skills.

Generate a wide variety of commercial and real estate loans.

Close loans typically in the $1 million to $10 million range.

Contribute to deposit growth by cross-selling and promoting additional banking products.

Other duties as assigned.

Education / Certification Bachelor’s degree in banking, finance or related field is preferred.

Experience Required Formally credit trained and/or underwriting knowledge and experience is preferred. Typically a minimum of seven years direct lending or credit support related experience with a focus on business relationships.

Knowledge Required Familiarity with the sales, loan processing and closing processes. Extensive knowledge of Commercial Banking products and services, including working knowledge of C&I as well as Owner-Occupied and Investment Commercial Real Estate loans. Ability to expand loans, client relationships and cross-sell bank products.

Skills / Abilities Must have good interpersonal and communication skills and a proven track record of business development. Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
