Our client in the supply chain & logistics industry is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their accounting team. This role is responsible for managing key accounting functions including month-end close, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, and preparation of journal entries. This role has a rapid growth trajectory with a clear progression plan to advance quickly in your career! Responsibilities
Manage general ledger accounts, prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Own month-end close duties and assist with financial statement preparation and variance analysis. Oversee inventory reconciliations, cost tracking, and analysis along with operations team. Assist in preparing financial reports, supporting schedules, and audit documentation as well as AP, AR, payroll, and tax compliance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integrity and assist with process improvement initiatives. Mentor junior staff and proactively take on projects that build toward Assistant Controller responsibilities. Handle ad hoc projects and responsibilities as needed. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably within distribution, CPG, or manufacturing industries. Strong understanding of GAAP, cost accounting, general ledger, and standard accounting principles. Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar ERP) and strong skillset with Microsoft Excel. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Solid communication skills including written and verbal. A growth mindset with the initiative to assume greater responsibility quickly. EEO and Additional Information
