This is a client-facing role that supports both external clients and internal teams, combining accounting, operational, and analytical responsibilities with a strong emphasis on revenue accounting. On a day-to-day basis, this person will review invoices, spending, and on-hold items, support month-end close activities, analyze revenue data, and prepare information for reports and presentations. They will assist with audits, manage log box processes, monitor and respond to Zendesk tickets, and answer questions from the Support and Outreach teams related to invoices and revenue transactions. Revenue accounting expertise is essential, including experience working with at least two different revenue models and analyzing revenue transactions such as cash payments, withdrawals, and suspensions. The ideal candidate will have experience working with cross-functional teams, contributing to revenue forecasting, and bringing a strategic, innovative mindset to solve problems and think creatively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP/IFRS and company policies. Record, reconcile, and analyze revenue transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness. Apply payments, resolve unapplied cash, and reconcile bank accounts. Build and maintain cash flow forecasts to support financial planning Monitor contracts, billing, and collections to ensure proper accounting treatment. Work closely with Sales and Operations teams to reconcile Salesforce data with financial systems. Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Legal teams to review contract terms and ensure compliance with accounting standards. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue reports, delivering data-driven insights and forecasts. Build and maintain revenue models to support business planning and financial forecasting. Perform variance analysis, identify revenue trends, and provide recommendations to leadership. Use analytics tools and Excel to transform raw data into meaningful insights. Assist with external and internal audits, providing documentation and explanations as needed. Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met. Continuously evaluate and improve revenue processes, systems, and reporting for greater efficiency. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field (CPA or progress toward CPA preferred). 7–9 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years focused on revenue accounting, audit, or financial analysis. Strong knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition principles (ASC 606 a plus). Hands-on experience using Salesforce for revenue tracking, contract management, and reporting. Preferred: Experience with Salesforce CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) for managing contract structures and billing accuracy. Strong skills in data analysis, revenue modeling, and forecasting. Proficiency with accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar). Advanced Excel skills; experience with analytics/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) is a plus. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present insights to financial and non-financial stakeholders. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
